UniversityConnect has enacted this Privacy Policy to assist you in understanding how your information is protected, collected and used when using our site.

1. Privacy Protection

  1. UniversityConnect does not utilize user tracking mechanisms for marketing purposes (i.e. cookies, web beacons, and single pixel gifs).
  2. User information is not disseminated, sold, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
  3. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998: UniversityConnect does not knowingly collect any information from persons younger than 13 years old.

2. What Information Do We Collect?

  1. Email addresses are collected, for example, in the registration process so we can send registration confirmation emails to users which enable them to fully activate their accounts.
  2. Our web log collects standard web log data including IP addresses, URLs of pages served, and date/time stamps. These logs are used as administrative tools in maintaining the site.
  3. Although we put forth our best efforts to keep stored data in a secure non-public environment, we cannot guarantee complete security.

3. Sharing Information with Third Parties
As previously stated in section 1, UniversityConnect does not share your information with 3rd parties for marketing purposes.

4. Links to Third Party Sites
We are not responsible for the content on web sites linked to from our web site nor the information or content contained therein. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our web site to another web site, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. A user's browsing/interaction on any other Web site, including web sites which have a link on our web site, is subject to that web site's own rules and policies. We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the law or comply with legal process served on us (b) protect and defend our rights and property, the site, and the users of the site (c) act under circumstances to protect the safety of users of the site.
